Marijuana and job creation

I couldn't agree with you more, the amount of jobs and tax revenue from the legalization could help out our country tremendously. The proof is already shown with the revenue obtained in the few legal states. 15,000 jobs in each state would help with the high unemployment rate in many of our states. The medical benefits alone would make a huge difference in our country. Another problem legalization of marijuana can help is the opioide crisis in America. Studies have shown that the legalization in the sates that allow marijuana use have lowered the amount of alcohol bought which kills people everyday. Even if you don't think marijuana should be legalized it no doubt has positives.

Trump and Young Republicans

This article is about the recent drop in young voters who consider themselves Republican. More now than ever the Republican party has had trouble losing people in their party. Is this Donald Trump’s fault? Ever since Trump has gotten into office and made horrible decisions, young voters are considering themselves as independents instead of Republican. The big problems among the trump supporters and the newly independent voters are his ideas of climate change, and immigration. the article also talks about how the Republican parties young future politicians will not be able to bring strength back to the party as Republicans say. I personally believe that Trump is making a terrible name for the party. I personally see myself  as more of an independent however, Trump has made bad decision after bad decision ever since he has gotten into office. One example of this type of movement between young voters is Roy Moore's defeat in the Alabama senate election. A republican not winning a senate spot in a southern state like Alabama is a big wake up call for "Trumpism." I don't think that the Republican party is going anywhere but I do believe Republican politicians need to change the way they are doing things in order to sway young voters back to the Republican side. I believe this is an interesting read if you, like many others feel like Donald Trump is going to hurt the Republican party. This article is fact based and has real proof that the Republican party is having trouble losing followers, whether the president’s fault something is to blame for the drop in Republican Americans.

Trump and North Korea

Monday president Trump made the decision to put North Korea back on the list of sponsors of terrorism. This will add to the list of sanctions against North Korean and will put even more pressure on Kim's regime. I believe this is a good idea on Trumps part because something must be done about Kim Jong-un's sporadic behavior. This article is a good read because it talks about and states valid reasons for Trump's decision. So far none of the previous sanctions have been enough to stop the nuclear testing done by North Korea. Something more must be done to cripple the country of North Korea and being back on the list will do just that.

Marijuana

I agree with you Mackenzie, marijuana would be a big contribution to lowering the national debt. We may not know as much about marijuana as we do about other "drugs" but we do know that it is a lot safer than smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol in excess. Cigarettes kill people every single day in America. I also believe that marijuana being available for people with health problems will help out the prescription drug problem. I believe that the legalization is not being talked about like it should is because of the sociodemagraphics of our government. Most of the people in our government have been told marijuana is bad as long as they have lived, and change will take time.

Trump and the "Wall"

Ever since Donald Trump decided to run for president he has always had the wall between Mexico and the United States in mind. In my opinion a wall will do no good and will just waste even more money that the government could use to help with the national debt. Another one of my reasons for opposing the wall is that I do not believe that it will make a difference. The Cubans had a big ocean between them and us and regardless they found a way to make it here. If Mexicans want to make it into America, they will find a way. On top of that you can literally climb over a wall, or walk through one of the doors. If a wall is built i could easily see corruption of the staff guarding it from one of the many cartels in Mexico I also do not believe that it is fair to not allow immigrants into the United States if they have a good reason to be here. However, I do not believe just anyone should be allowed to enter and live in the United States. There should still be some sort of application approving their access to America. A wall will simply make it a little harder to access the United States. A majority of immigrants do the jobs that most Americans do not want to do. Stopping immigration completely will make jobs for more American people however I believe that we will end up with jobs and nobody to do them. In conclusion I don’t think everyone for no reason should be able to come to the United States, but most immigrants come here to look for a job and better living conditions. I think it is wrong to deny human beings the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Trump and "fake news"

In This is One of Trump's Most Dangerous Plays (Other than thePossibility of a Nuclear War, of Course) the author, TheDogFather, is talking to the people in America about Trumps obsession with fake news. He is trying to get his point across that Trumps isn't really worried about fake news, he's worried about people finding out the truth to his lies. The author states that the news Trump claims to be fake is coming from good honest sources like: CNN, New York Times, and Politico. In my opinion not, all the news is fake, however I do believe that if someone wanted to get a fake story out they would find a way. The author also is trying to educate and show Americans that Trump is dictator like. Trump wants the people In America to not know what is going on and do things behind our backs. Corruption in the United States is bad enough. Even with this is do believe that Donald Trump is trying to confuse the people in America. He wants to take all the attention off his lies and bad decisions. In the end we can only believe what has been put in front of us. So of course, we will never really know exactly what is happening in our government. We as Americans need to stay sharp and think logically about what we are being showed on TV and in the papers.  Although in don’t completely agree with the author I do believe his information can be trusted. Evidence does support that Trump has indeed lied on numerous occasions.

Gun Control in America

The intended audience of the blog is for people who don't think that guns are too easily accessible. In the article the author talks about how people in power are trying to take the attention off of the guns themselves and only outlaw the accessories that make the guns more efficient. The author is trying to persuade people to take a stand against the "lax" gun laws the U.S has. He  is also trying to make it known that president Trump is doing nothing to help. Even though less people own guns now days than they did before the author points out that it doesn't change the fact that Americans who have guns stockpile them. It is also pointed out that the shooter from the massacre in Las Vegas had been stockpiling weapons for years with never once being asked what the guns were for. The author feels that  In my opinion I don't think that stricter gun laws would make a big difference. Drugs are illegal in the united states and are still bought daily and used in every city in the U.S. The illegal gun trade would also benefit from stricter gun laws.I do feel that it should be looked into to make sure that the laws that are in effect are being abided by. I think it should be harder to get guns however I don't think there should a limit on how many guns you can have. The blogger has good data and facts and is a credible source.
